SCYO Christmas Season a hit!
2007-01-12The SCYO Christmas season came to a peak during its performances, which were the busiest yet! Musicians performed at the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care as part of a Christmas celebration on December 9th. Furthermore, SCYO performed at Saviour of the World Chinese Catholic Church in the coming weeks, for the annual Christmas party, and the later Children's Christmas Party. With these performances brings increased exposure to the ensemble, and hopefully, the recruitment of new members. As always, musically inclined members of Saviour of the World Chinese Catholic Church and the surrounding schoolsare encouraged to join.
We begin this spring season with the continuation of three songs introduced in the summer season: "Last to Defend", by David Shaffer, "Ross Roy", by Jacob de Haan, and the "James Bond Returns". We add to this line-up a staple of band literature called "Air for Band", by Frank Erickson. These four songs will be a part of the upcoming SCYO end-of-season concert due in late May. Check back soon!
